Casco Bay Roller Derby was founded in 2011. Initially branded as “The Not So Jolly Rogers.” Since the name has changed to “Casco Bay Gentlemen’s Derby,” and finally to, “Casco Bay Roller Derby.” This is to better reflect the league’s identity and its principles.
Early morning on October 7th, 2017, Casco Bay Gentlemen’s Derby lost one of its founders when FearUs Oxide #26 (Christopher Ziobrowski) passed away unexpectedly.
FearUs’ impact on the roller derby community was far and wide and the outpouring of support from it is greatly appreciated. He will be missed. Every time we take the track from here on out we will bring him with us in our hearts. He is forever a part of us and who we are.
